We Invite You To Opening Of Exhibition “The State of Israel – Ukrainian Roots”
The Zionist Federation of Ukraine in cooperation with the Kyiv Institute of Judaica and Sholom Aleichem’s Museum presents the exhibition “The State of Israel – Ukrainian Roots”, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Independence of the State of Israel.
The exhibition consists of twelve 2-meter posters, all of which reveal the direction of development of the Jewish state, such as army, medicine, urban planning, agriculture, energy and others through the prism of the biographies of those who were born on the territory of today’s Ukraine, came to Palestine and their selfless labor brought the creation of the Jewish State.
The project sponsor is the World Confederation of United Zionists (CUZ).
After the opening ceremony, on the basis of this exhibition a new project will begin its work. It is called “Come from Shtetl”, providing for the demonstration of the exhibition, as well as events aimed at studying of the history of Israel. The project will be carried out by the Association of Small Jewish Communities of Kyiv and Cherkasy district in Korsun-Shevchenkivsky, Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi and other towns.
Also in collaboration with the All-Ukrainian Society Maccabi presentations of the exhibition will be held in Lviv, Kharkov and Odessa.
The exhibition opens on January 30, 2019 at 7 p.m. at B. Vasylkivska 5A, Sholom Aleichem Museum, Kyiv.
