The Zionist Federation of Ukraine (ZFU) was established in December 2001 on the principles of the Jerusalem Program of the World Zionist Organization.

Recognizing and accepting the Jerusalem program, the Zionist Federation of Ukraine coordinates its activities primarily with the following principles:

– The unity of the Jewish people and Israel’s centrality in Jewish life

– The collection of the Jewish people in its historical homeland, Eretz Israel, through alias from all countries

– Preservation of the identity of the Jewish people through the development of Zionist education, Hebrew and Yiddish, and Jewish spiritual and cultural values.

The main goals and tasks of the Zionist Federation of Ukraine are:

– Full support for the unity of the Jewish community in Ukraine;

– Approval and realization of the rights of Jews – citizens of Ukraine to their own national identity and culture.

Almost all major Zionist parties and movements are represented in Ukraine.

ZFU focuses on youth and educational Zionist programs, which are conducted jointly with various organizations in Ukraine and abroad.

ZFU also emphasizes work in Jewish communities of small towns of Ukraine.

ZFU takes an active part in all the numerous Israeli support actions in various cities of Ukraine.

In the summer of 2015, for the first time in the history of the Jewish community of Ukraine in the 37th Zionist Congress held in Jerusalem in October 2015, delegates from Ukraine participated. 7 delegates from five parties at the congress represented the Jewish community of Ukraine.

In the fall of 2015 after the elections, the organizational leadership of the ZFU changed.

The new leadership of the ZFU actively launched a number of projects and programs that would enhance the relations and connections between Ukraine and Israel, which include educational and other projects.

At present, ZFU carries out the following projects:
