Volunteer Press Center Has Started Its Work

Project manager from the National Tauride University named after V. I. Vernadsky – Director of the Institute of Philology and Journalism, Professor S. L. Kuzmina.
The head of the Vaad of Ukraine and the Siberian Federal University is the executive director of the Zionist Federation of Ukraine, the chief editor of the site of the Vaad of Ukraine E. Zaslavskaya.
Since September 2019, on the basis of the journalism faculty of the Institute of Philology and Journalism of the National Tauride University named after V. I. Vernadsky works volunteer press center. The program participants were ten first-year students of the Faculty of Journalism of the University.
The objective of the program is to provide an opportunity for beginning journalists who are just mastering their profession, practical journalistic skills, such as interviewing and commenting, decoding and typing audio recordings, overcoming the “turn to a stranger” complex, professional reporting, working with headings of articles, as well as prepare a young shift for work on Vaad web projects.
The program participants, as correspondent interns of the Vaad Ukraine and KNGU sites, took part in the Babi Yar Victims Memorial March, took a series of interviews with counselors of the Sources of Tolerance camp and the European Camp, took an active part in preparing and conducting the Presentation of the Concept for the Integrated Memorialization of Babi Yar and others. Many of the reports prepared by the project participants were posted in the main news feeds of web projects, which indicates sufficient training for members of the young journalists team.
The project is a volunteer and is carried out by the Zionist Federation of Ukraine with technical support from the Institute of Philology and Journalism of the National Taurida University of V.I. Vernadsky, Vaad of Ukraine and the Congress of National Communities of Ukraine.
The legal basis for the project was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between ZFU and the National Taurida University. V.I. Vernadsky.
