The Maccabi World Congress Was Held in Israel
In Israel, the Kfar Maccabi complex hosted the next Congress of the World Maccabi Union, in which representatives of the Maccabi of Ukraine took an active part. Today, the Maccabi Movement unites more than 100 territorial organizations (TO) representing Jewish communities around the world.
Representatives of young people, including those from Ukraine, who gathered in Israel for a seminar of young FLF leaders, also attended the Congress.
The delegates of the forum discussed current issues of the maintenance activities, with information on the upcoming regional Maccabi Games this year made representatives of the relevant Organizing Committees. The congress participants showed great interest in the program of the 15th Maccabi European Games, which will be held in Budapest from July 29 to August 7. Representatives of the Jewish communities of four continents will take part in this large-scale event.
One of the most important events of the Congress was the presentation of the logo of the next – the 21st Maccabiad, which will be held, as always, in Israel from July 20 to August 3, 2021.
Within the framework of the Congress, the presentation of the book “Maccabi in Ukraine: a century and a quarter”, held by the delegation of Maccabi of Ukraine with the support of the European Confederation of Maccabi, was successfully held.
